OLCC Liquor License

STEP 1 - Work with the OLCC

The applicant’s first step is to work with the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) to acquire a license or temporary permit.

Effective February 1, 2023:  OLCC is now requiring the use of updated application forms, please check the OLCC website for updated application forms! 

STEP 2 - Work with Deschutes County

The OLCC requires liquor license and temporary permit applications to be reviewed by Deschutes County prior to submittal to the OLCC.

Please allow a minimum of 3-4 weeks for Deschutes County to review the application.
 
For a new liquor license, renewal, change of ownership or temporary event license:
  • Download and complete the applicable OLCC application.
  • Submit the OLCC application via email to Deschutes County Community Development:  planning@deschutes.org.  Applications can also be submitted in person at the Deschutes County Community Development office located at 117 NW Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR 97703.
  • There is an application fee (cash, check or credit/debit card) as follows, staff will notify you of the fees once we receive and process the application:
    • Original Application $ 100.00
    • Change in Ownership, Location or Privilege $ 75.00
    • Renewal or Temporary Application $ 35.00
  • Application is reviewed by the following county departments:  Sheriff’s Office, Environmental Health, Community Development's Planning Division, Building Division, Onsite/Septic Division and Code Compliance.
  • Once the application has been reviewed, it will be returned to the applicant for submittal to the OLCC for final processing.

STEP 3 - Submit your application to the OLCC
