Proposal Status

The applications were received by the Planning Division on July 13, 2022. A public hearing was conducted by a Deschutes County Hearings Officer on March 21, 2023. A recording of the hearing can be viewed using this link. In June 2023, the Hearings Officer's recommended denial of the applicant's request  unless the Applicant demonstrates the requested Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Zone Change are consistent with Statewide Planning Goal 5. Next the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will conduct a second hearing and make a final decision on the proposal. The BOCC hearing date/time have not been set at this time.
