The County provides the following online research tools to assist with property change preparation.

Property Information (Dial) - Individual Property Information

This application allows you to search by individual property for all known zoning, tax assessment, transportation, development, service provider, and sales information concerning that property.

After you select the property you are interested in researching, go to the "Development" tab on the left hand side to view the zoning designation(s), permit history, and historical CDD records for the property.

E-Permitting - Up-to-date Permit Search, Inspection Scheduling, Licensed Installer Permit Request

Applications that have been accepted by Deschutes County can be searched and tracked using the State of Oregon ePermitting system.

Search Options Include:

  • Permit / Application Number
  • Date Range of Submitted Applications
  • Site Address
  • Taxlot Numbers

Clerk RecordsProperty Title & Deed Records

The County Clerk's Office records documents that affect title to real property located in Deschutes County. When a document is received for recording, it is checked for compliance with Oregon recording statutes. If a document cannot be recorded, it is returned to the sender with an explanation of what is wrong. As a document is recorded, an index is created and the image scanned for document retrieval.
