The Environmental Health Specialists' primary job is to minimize or eliminate potentially harmful situations in public places and to contain and stop the spread of diseases if and when they occur.
The Restaurants and Mobile Food Units in Deschutes County are inspected at least twice a year. Inspections are performed by Registered Environmental Health Specialists employed by Deschutes County Environmental Health Department.
