Foster and 24-Hour Provider Information
- Adult foster homes provide necessary resident care while emphasizing the adult's independence, choice, dignity, and decision-making.
- The goal of child foster care is to assist children with their activities of daily living, provide supervision and guidance in a nurturing setting to maintain the child’s health and safety while working to increase levels of self-confidence and independence.
- 24-hour residential homes are similar to foster setting in that it is a home and community based setting but are operated by a provider organization and have shift staffing rather than live-in provider/operators. They can generally support individuals with a high level of needs.
