Angling and Shellfish Licenses

ODFW logo

Per ORS 497.162 single-day Angling and shellfish licenses are available for persons receiving Intellectual/Developmental Disability (IDD) services.

  • The licenses given out in this section are made out to persons enrolled in IDD services. They're for the person's own use and must follow Oregon's fishing laws. You can get a license for one day at a time, but you can ask for licenses to cover more than one day.

  • The Deschutes County IDD program can only issue licenses to those receiving services in Deschutes County. If you are getting services in a different county, contact your Service Coordinator/Personal Agent to request a license.

  • Before you ask for a license HERE, please read all the information below. Make sure to submit your license request at least one full business day before you plan to fish. We can't assure licenses for requests made with less than one full business day’s notice.
Office hours are: Mon – Friday 8am – 5pm (closed 12 – 1 for lunch). Closed all Federal Holidays

  • If you plan to fish in the Columbia River basin, you'll need a Daily Columbia River Basin Endorsement, which is an additional license.
Licenses will be sent via email, unless you choose a different method such as:
  • Mail
  • Pick-up at one of our two office locations
  • Adding the license to your ODFW Account (please provide your ODFW ID #)
To check if you qualify for a license, provide the following details (We won't process requests with missing information, and we can't issue licenses to those not eligible):
  • Legal First Name
  • Legal Last Name
  • Date of Birth
