Home HIV Test Kits

The Take Me Home Project offers free, confidential home HIV test kits so you can find out your status from the safety and comfort of your home. If you haven't been tested for HIV in the past year, you qualify for a free home HIV test kit delivered to your door.

Home HIV test kits are also available directly from Deschutes County Health Services. If you would like to arrange to pick up a free test kit, please call us confidentially at (541) 322-7155.

Results That Can Shape Oregon's Future

Oregon is home to approximately 7,200 people who live with HIV- people from urban and rural communities and all ages and walks of life. Another 1,100 Oregonians have HIV, but don't know it yet. Testing is a crucial component of ending new HIV infections. Studies show that when people are newly diagnosed with HIV, they reduce their risk behaviors and access treatment, reducing the chance of spreading HIV to others.
