Beat the heat: Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay informed

Excessive heat is expected in Central Oregon through Thursday, Aug. 17.  To prevent serious health effects from extreme heat — stay cool, stay hydrated and stay informed.   

"Heat-related illnesses can come on quickly and can be deadly," said Emily Horton, Deschutes County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program Manager 

If needed, Deschutes County Health Services recommends people access public spaces such as libraries, grocery stores, and indoor shopping areas to stay out of the heat.

Age restrictions for guests: Must be 60 or older; adult dependents and caregivers are welcome to accompany the 60+ individual(s).

August 15 – 18, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is only available to Mosaic patients.  Service animals only. 

Cold drinks and snacks will be available in conference rooms for patients.

Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. 

Saturday through Sunday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
