Deschutes County Hires New Chief Financial Officer

Following a highly competitive national recruitment, Deschutes County has hired Robert Tintle as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Tintle, who will join the County in late September, replaces Greg Munn, who served as the Deschutes County Chief Financial Officer for two years.

Tintle has served as the Lane County Treasurer, Financial Services Manager, and ARPA and Grants Manager. He has also worked for the City of Eugene.

County releases proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2023

Deschutes County has released its proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2023.

The County’s total proposed operating budget for Fiscal Year 2023 is $398.3 million, which represents a 5.8 percent increase from the prior year.

Deschutes County (County), through the Finance Department (Department), is requesting proposals for banking services for a period of not less than five (5) years and one (1) two-year extension. The purpose of this process is to obtain high quality requisite depository and banking services at a competitive price.

County releases Popular Annual Financial Report

Deschutes County has released this year’s Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), a summary guide to the in-depth County annual financial report. The PAFR is designed to help taxpayers understand County financial data.

Both reports reflect information from the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year.

“We hope this report is a helpful tool for residents to better understand the County’s finances,” said County Treasurer Greg Munn.

Deschutes County receives Government Finance Officers Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting

Deschutes County has received the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR award). The PAFR is designed to help taxpayers understand County financial data and provides a summary guide to the in-depth County annual financial report.

“We hope this report is a helpful tool for residents to better understand the County’s finances,” said County Treasurer Greg Munn.

County-authorized online tax payment options

Clarification: Deschutes County wishes to clarify that the only County-approved method to make secure and authorized online tax payments directly to the County is through www.deschutes.org/tax.

The business entity / online payment service "Doxo" is not affiliated with Deschutes County. 

Residents can confirm that their property tax payments have been processed by visiting dial.deschutes.org, entering account information and checking the Current Balance Due link under the Taxes header.
