On Monday, Dec. 19, Deschutes County will recognize staff for their efforts in producing the County’s award winning Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for fiscal year 2021.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Deschutes County. The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

This is the 21st consecutive year that Deschutes County has received this prestigious award.

“This is the highest honor a local government can earn for its financial reporting efforts,” said Robert Tintle, Chief Financial Officer. “It is a great honor and a testament to the efforts put forth by our team.”
