Deschutes County 2025-2026 property tax statements available this week

Deschutes County is sending out 2025-2026 property tax statements this week. Property owners will receive their annual bills by mail or email if they signed up for e-statements.

County seeks volunteer to serve on Budget Committee

Deschutes County invites community members to apply for an open position on the Budget Committee. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 27.

“We encourage anyone who is interested in county public services and budget processes to apply for this vacancy on the County’s Budget Committee,” said County Administrator Nick Lelack. “This is a great opportunity to learn about and contribute to County operations and finances.”

FIRST THREE YEARS OF DELINQUENCY

Property taxes may be paid in full by November 17 or in three installments: November 17, February 17, and May 15.  Taxes on real property not paid on or before May 15 of the tax year in which they are billed are delinquent.  For example, taxes billed in October 2022 are delinquent if not paid by May 15, 2023. The first day of delinquency is May 16, 2023.

One year passes on May 16, 2024;
Two years pass on May 16, 2025;
Three years pass on May 16, 2026;
