Rates and Fees
Deschutes County Residents can take garbage and recycling to 5 transfer stations throughout the county. ALL sites accept cash or in-state check. We accept debit and credit cards at all sites EXCEPT: Alfalfa, only cash and check.
TIP - Load your vehicle with garbage first and recycling last so you can easily drop off recyclables first. We accept mixed, cardboard and glass recycling, at all transfer sites.
*$10.00 rebate is given for loads properly secured according to County Ordinance 13.36.040. See Covered and Secured Load page for more information.

- Sod is only accepted at the regular garbage rate at the Negus Transfer Station (limit 1 cubic yard and is only accepted at the attendants approval based on transfer trailer status. Sod can be brought to Deschutes Recycling Center at Knott Landfill for $6.00 per cubic yard).
Negus Transfer Station may accept up to 10 cubic yards of construction debris. Larger amounts are accepted at the Knott Landfill. Wood and pallets can be recycled at Deschutes Recycling located at Knott.
