Weekly Road Construction Update - June 1 to June 7
Projects Administered by Deschutes County:
Slurry Seal (Bend Area) – Crews will be slurry sealing roads within the Cimarron City subdivision near Bend beginning Thursday, June 5 through Friday, June 6.
Traffic Information – Temporary road closures will occur within the work areas. Property owner affected by the closures will be notified in advance. Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Friday.
Chip Seal (Bend Area) – Deschutes County crews will be chip sealing the following roads (weather permitting):
- Kiowa Rd
- Minnetonka Ln
- Cinder Butte Rd
- Baker Rd
- Brookswood Blvd
- Knott Rd
- China Hat Rd
- Sholes Rd
- Tekampe Rd
Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Paving of Powell Butte Highway & Nelson Road (Bend Area) – Crews will be removing old pavement and installing new pavement on Powell Butte Highway between McGrath Road and Neff Road.
Traffic Information – Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Projects Administered by Other Agencies:
U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing bridge work along U.S. 97.
Traffic Information – Lower Bridge Way is open allowing only right-in, right-out traffic movements. Traffic bound for U.S. 97 North will continue to use the signed detour route.
Deschutes Market Road / Yeoman Road Intersection Closure (City of Bend) – Deschutes Market Road will be closed to traffic at the intersection with Yeoman Road for roundabout construction.
Traffic Information – Deschutes Market Road is closed at Yeoman Road. A detour route is in place via Deschutes Market Road, Hamehook Road and Butler Market Road.
Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.
Woodside Drive Irrigation Crossing (Arnold Irrigation District) – No work will be occurring.
Traffic Information – Woodside Drive is open to traffic between Pine Vista Drive and Rusticate Road with temporary gravel surfacing. Drivers should use caution when navigating the gravel-surfaced area.
China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service) – China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are both closed at the USFS Boundary for forest thinning work.
Traffic Information – China Hat Road and FS Road 1815 are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access to the area is closed until further notice.
