The Planning Commission reviews legislative items such as text amendments and comprehensive plan amendments.
Certain land use applications and appeals are referred to a Hearings Officer for review. A Hearings Officer is an impartial land use attorney contracted by the County and acts as the decision maker for this type of hearing.
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) are required to review all legislative changes and all quasi-judicial plan amendment and zone changes. Additionally, the BOCC may elect to review appeals or request to review a particular application.
County decisions listed in this category have been appealed to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) and/or other appellate courts.
