What is DIAL?

  • DIAL, formally known as Deschutes Interactive Access Line, is a knowledgebase of information on properties that exist in Deschutes County including properties within the City of Bend, Redmond, La Pine and Sisters. It is accessible to anyone with a computer or mobile device. There you can find information about the property such as development on the land, service provider coverage, sales, tax assessment and other important information.
Do I have access to it?
  • Yes, it is free and accessible to anyone. 
How is it used?
  • In CDD, we focus primarily on the Development Tab in DIAL. It includes information needed for the permitting process such as information on past permits, documents associated to the permit, inspection history and more. Read more to learn where to locate information regarding the property.
    • From the Development Tab, you will find information regarding your property such as:
      • If it is in a Subdivision
      • Acreage
      • If the property has special setbacks
      • Is Historic Designated
      • Is Within the FEMA 100 Year Flood Plain
      • Has a TDC/PRC Restrictive Covenant
      • Documents Associated to Permits
      • And other important information
    • From the Permit Tab, you will find information such as:
      • Permits Associated to the Taxlot
      • Permit History
      • Inspection History related to the Permit
      • Work Description of the Permit
