247-25-000106-TA: Tumalo RV Park Text Amendment
Proposal Summary
The applicant proposes amendments to Chapter 18.67 of Deschutes County Code, to allow a recreational vehicle (RV) park as a conditional use in the Tumalo Commercial District. The proposed Code language includes the following requirements for siting an RV park:
- The area of the parcel(s) proposed for development of an RV park shall be two to five acres in size.
- The parcel(s) must be located in a sewer district.
- The parcel, at least one of the contiguous parcels under common ownership, must be adjacent to Highway 20.
The applicant also proposes to provide an exception to DCC 18.128.170(O), so that an RV park does not need to be accessed by an arterial or collector street. The amendments are limited to the Tumalo Commercial District and, as proposed, do not modify the requirements for RV parks in other zones.
Location
The proposal applies to the Tumalo Commercial District, which is located in the unincorporated community of Tumalo.
