System of Care
The Deschutes County System of Care facilitates the process of implementing a sustainable system of care for children, young adults and their families. In fulfilling that role, System of Care works through 4 separate committees (Executive, Advisory, Practice, and Review) to fulfill the following obligations:
- Advising on processes that are closely aligned with the needs of families, and the needs of children and youth;
- Advising on a system of care for children, young adults and advising;
- Contributing ideas and suggestions to inform local policies and procedures;
- Prioritizing system issues to be addressed locally.
- Soliciting feedback from stakeholders, families, consumers on system of care needs.
- Employ a feedback loop to other levels of the governance structure and consumers.

A coordinated and sustainable system of care facilitates optimal health, wellbeing, stable living environments and school success for children and young adults with serious emotional disturbances and their families.
