News Release - County Names New Budget Committee Member

The County has appointed Jimm Burton to serve on the Deschutes County Budget Committee.

Burton, a South County resident, will serve as one of the committee’s three citizen members. The budget committee, which includes the Board of County Commissioners, reviews the County’s proposed budget and recommends a final version for adoption.

“Jimm’s strong background in business management will make him an asset to committee.” said Alan Unger, Deschutes County Chair. “He is passionate about investing in Central Oregon and helping prepare Deschutes County for its continued growth.” 

Burton currently works as a Conversion Analyst and OnBase System Administrator for Bend Memorial Clinic. He previously owned and operated a small business in Virginia.
