Law Library

The Law Library has moved

The Law Library has now been integrated into the Deschutes Public Library System

The mission of the Deschutes County Law Library is to serve the legal information needs of Deschutes County by providing access and use of legal reference materials and reference services to members of the legal community and the general public. The library provides users with legal resources by acquiring, organizing and maintaining a collection of current and historical law-related materials which support the study and knowledge of law in Deschutes County.

Services

The Law Library provides legal information services to Deschutes County staff, courts, judges, attorneys and to the public. The library's resources include a diverse collection of legal materials, state and federal laws, court cases with an emphasis on Oregon, as well as continuing education materials for attorneys.

Deschutes County residents and attorneys now have greater access than ever before to legal resources as a result of a new partnership between the County and Deschutes Public Library. The Law Library’s physical book collection is now housed at the Downtown Bend Library (601 NW Wall Street), while online databases are available at all six branches.
