Proposal Summary

The applicant is proposing to amend Deschutes County Code (DCC), Title 18, County Zoning to allow for mini-storage in the Multiple Use Agricultural - 10 Acre Minimum (MUA-10) zone along State Highway 97 as a conditional use under certain conditions. A brief summary of the amendments is as follows: 

Mini-storage facilities, including watercraft and RV storage, allowed as a conditional use on parcels that are:
1. Within 2,500 feet of an urban growth boundary;
2. Adjacent to State Highway 97; and
3. A minimum of 10 acres in size and not to exceed 30 acres in size. Multiple contiguous parcels may be considered in the aggregate to meet the requirements of this section.

Proposal Status

A work session is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 5:30 pm.

A public hearing is scheduled before the Planning Commission on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 5:30 pm in the Barnes and Sawyer Rooms, Deschutes Service Center, 1300 NW Wall Street, Bend. Virtual meeting information will be posted the week before the hearing.
