Weekly Road Construction Update For the Week of March 31 to April 6, 2024

Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area) – Equipment mobilization and clearing work will be occurring at the intersection of Powell Butte Highway with Butler Market Road.

Traffic Information – Beginning on April 1, Butler Market Road will be closed to traffic between Powell Butte Highway and Dickey Road. A designated detour route will be in place via Nelson Road and Dickey Road.

Smith Rock Way Bridge Replacement (Terrebonne Area) – Foundation concrete work will be occurring at the Smith Rock Way Bridge.

Traffic Information – Smith Rock Way remains closed to through traffic between NE 33rd Street and Lambert Road for bridge replacement work. A designated detour route is in place via Lambert Rd, NE Wilcox Avenue and NE 33rd Street. Access for local traffic will be maintained during construction. Work hours are 7 a.m to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Hunnell Road: Loco Road to Tumalo Road Improvement (Bend Area) – Grading work will be occurring on Hunnell Road between Pohaku Road and Tumalo Road, as well as between .Lane and Rogers Road.

Traffic Information – Hunnell Road remains closed to through traffic between Pohaku Road and Tumalo Road. Access for local traffic will be maintained during construction. Hunnell Road is also closed between Bowery Lane and Rogers Road for grading work. Local residents should access Bowery Lane from US-97. Work hours are 7 a.m to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Gribbling Rd Bridge Replacement (Bend Area) – Final trimming and cleanup work will be occurring on Gribbling Road near the Central Oregon Irrigation Canal.

Traffic Information – Gribbling Road is now open to traffic at the new bridge. Road users should use caution when navigating the new bridge and expect workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

Burgess Road Utility Work (La Pine Area) – Utility work will be occurring along Burgess Road near the intersection with Glenwood Road.

Traffic Information – Shoulder closures and single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers will be occurring on Burgess Road. Road users should exercise caution and expect delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours.
