Permits and Fees
**Effective December 13, 2023, Deschutes County Road Department will no longer permit political campaign signs within public road rights of way under county jurisdiction (see County Ordinance No. 2023-020).**
Oversized Load Moving Permit
This permit authorizes the moving of oversized loads on roads under county jurisdiction. It does not authorize the use of city streets, state highways, or private roads. Only the roads listed on the permit will be approved.
Download and print all pages of the Oversized Load Moving Permit. Bring the completed permit, together with the appropriate fee, to the County Road Department for approval.

Permit for Working in a Public Right-Of-Way
A Permit for working in a Public Right-of-Way is required any time work is performed inside the County Right-Of-Way. Please use the Online Permit Application or call 541-322-7150 to apply for working in a Public Right-of-Way.
