Weekly Road Construction Update - Aug. 17 to Aug. 23

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Paving of Tumalo Road: Cline Falls Highway to Tumalo Place (Bend Area) – Crews will be repairing pavement and installing asphalt pavement on Tumalo Road between Tumalo Place and 85^th Street. Crews will also be repairing bridge approaches on Tumalo Road near Cook Avenue. The work will be done at night.

Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers overnight with delays of up to 20 minutes from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing underground utility work on 11^th Street.

Traffic Information – 11^th Street will be closed to traffic for underground utility work. A signed detour route is in place.

Lower Bridge Way remains open to traffic allowing only right-in, right-out movements. Traffic bound for U.S. 97 North will continue to use the signed detour route along NW 19^th Street and NW Davidson Way.

Rickard Road/Gosney Road Utility Work – Crews will be doing utility work at the intersection of Rickard Road and Gosney Road.

Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes near the intersection of Rickard Road and Gosney Road.

Knott Road Closure (City of Bend) – Knott Road between SE 15^th Street and Raintree Drive will be partially closed.

Traffic Information – Knott Road is closed to eastbound traffic at SE 15^th Street. A signed detour route will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.

Tumalo Reservoir Road Utility Work – Crews will be doing utility work on Tumalo Reservoir Road between Bailey Road and Johnson Road.

Traffic Information – Tumalo Reservoir Road is closed to northbound traffic between Johnson Road and Bailey Road. Traffic will detour via OB Riley Road, Wood Avenue and Bailey Road.

Skyliners Road / Skyline Ranch Road Intersection Closure (City of Bend) – The intersection of Skyliners Road and Skyline Ranch Road is closed for roundabout construction.

Traffic Information – Skyline Ranch Road is closed to traffic at Skyliners Road until early September. A signed detour route is in place for the duration of the closure.

Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.

China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service) – China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are both closed at the USFS Boundary for forest thinning work.

Traffic Information – China Hat Road and FS Road 1815 are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access to the area is closed until further notice.
