Important Transient Room Tax Reporting Changes

Deschutes County is implementing a new software for Transient Room Tax reporting and collections. Starting July 1, 2019 all vacation rental accounts will submit reports through our website eliminating printing and mailing paper forms. This will also allow online payments in the form of e-checks or debit cards.

Please submit reports online starting with June 2019 stays for monthly filers or 2nd Quarter (Apr-Jun 2019 stays) for quarterly filers. If you are unable to make use of our new system, please contact us for alternate reporting and payment methods.

Every active account is required to report either monthly or quarterly, even if the property is listed on an online platform such as Airbnb or HomeAway/VRBO, Etc..

You will also find information on monthly/quarterly requirements, recreation fees, reporting periods, and other frequently asked questions.
