Kathy Christensen, RN/PHN and Clinic Supervisor

Kathy grew up in the Willamette Valley but was always drawn to the mountains and   amazing lifestyle of Central Oregon.  She moved to Bend in 1981 and has spent most of her adulthood living, working and playing in the High Desert.  With a passion for helping     people live healthy, satisfying lives Kathy went to nursing school with the goal of working in Public Health.  For the past 18 years Kathy has worked for Deschutes County in multiple programs including reproductive health clinical services and outreach education, HIV    prevention and case management, communicable disease, TB and immunizations.  Providing education and valuable life skills to youth and young adults is what she values most in her position. 

Outside of work, she maintains balance and joy in her life by spending time with friends and family, having quiet, reflective time and working in her garden.  She loves a good adventure, traveling and spends as much time as possible running, hiking, mountain biking and skiing on the local trails. Kathy is the Supervisor at all three Deschutes County clinics.

Carrie McGuigan, Adult NP-BC

Carrie is a Pacific NW native. Growing up in Portland she spent many summers coming over the mountains to enjoy playing in the dry, warm weather of Central Oregon. She has been  happy to call Bend home since 2010. Carrie received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Oregon in 1996. Her wanderlust and interest in other cultures steered her to the Peace Corps where she volunteered in Ivory Coast, West Africa collaborating with a community of rural villages on public health projects for three years.  With a passion for public health and health care, Carrie returned home to Portland to pursue a nursing career completing her bachelors in nursing at Oregon Health and Science    University in 2003. After working as a hospital nurse in Portland, San Jose, and Seattle,Carrie completed her masters in nursing to become a nurse practitioner at the University of Washington in 2010. Carrie loves working in reproductive health valuing the opportunity to support individuals as they create their own personal life paths.

In her free time, you can find Carrie trying to balance her time with her husband, two young daughters, friends and family as well as pursuing mental and physical health through running, biking, swimming and cooking from the family garden. Carrie works in both the Bend and Redmond clinics.

Anne Kilty ANP/WHCNP

Anne was born and raised in Portland.  She has a BA in history from Scripps College in Claremont, CA and BS and MS degrees from Oregon Health Sciences University.  She worked as a High Risk Labor and Delivery RN at Providence St Vincent Medical  Center from 1996-2000. She finished her Adult Nurse Practitioner and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner    programs in 2000. She is nationally certified. She started her career in a private internal   medicine practice in the Portland area before moving to Bend in late 2002.  Since moving to Bend she has worked for the VA Medical Center (2003-2006) and the Deschutes County Health Services (2003-present). During her time with DCHS she has been a nurse practitioner for the Community Clinic (now Volunteers in Medicine), Juvenile Justice, Healthy Start Prenatal and Reproductive Health Services.  Anne has interest and experience in many aspects of health care- internal medicine, diabetes, obstetrics and her true passion, which is reproductive healthcare.

When she’s not at work, Anne has a busy life raising her 3 terrific boys.  She enjoys time with her family, reading, hiking, and exercising.  She dreams of a beautiful garden, not trampled by young boys or destroyed by the deer. Someday soon she’d like to get back to traveling and possibly living abroad.  For now, life in Bend is pretty darn good. Anne works in both the Bend and La Pine clinics.

Holly Nyquist RN, BSN

Holly grew up in Missoula, Montana and graduated from University of Portland School of Nursing in 1992.  She has worked in many areas of Public Health including communicable disease, immunizations, HIV/STD, maternal child health and reproductive health since 1994.  She loves her job at DCHS, especially helping clients feel comfortable and informed.  She adores her family, and enjoys skiing, windsurfing, paddling, running and biking.  She also has a hard time turning down a good book! Holly works at all three Deschutes County clinics.

Suzie Pryor RN, PHN

Suzie grew up on the Oregon coast. She graduated from nursing school in 1986 and worked as a pediatric nurse in the hospital setting until moving to Central Oregon in 2000.  Suzie has worked at Deschutes County Health Services since 2002, her passion is working with teens and young adults.  She really enjoys educating clients and   helping them take charge of their physical and emotional health. 

Suzie's hobbies are hiking with her husband and 2 dogs, camping, kayaking and snow skiing.  Her favorite place to be in the summer is the beach! Suzie works in the Bend clinic.

Ana Silveira, Medical Assistant

Ana grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She loves to interact with clients and will always try to help them as much as she can.  She has a degree in Communications in Brazil and has lived in Italy and Ecuador before moving to the USA.

Ana moved to Bend in 2006. Summer is her favorite season. Ana likes to spend a lot of time with her son and loves to travel, watch foreign movies, get together with friends, dance and listen to music. Ana works in all three Deschutes County clinics.

Danelle Beebe, Health Services Administrative Specialist

Danelle was born and raised in Bend, so she is one of the true “native Bendites”!  She     graduated from Central Oregon Community College and has worked in Office Administration for over 28 years.  Dental, Petroleum, and Aviation are some of the environments she worked in before landing in Public Health.  She loves her position at Deschutes County Health Services because of the opportunity to connect with clients “face-to-face” and provide support.

Away from work, Danelle enjoys hiking, watching movies, reading, and hanging out with her family and friends.  She and her husband love doing everything together, especially traveling.  Her twin sons live in Bend, as well as two grandchildren.  She also has a stepson that lives in Dallas, Texas.  As the youngest of 8 children, she tries to stay close to her siblings who live in Bend, La Grande, and Montana. Danelle works at the Bend clinic.

Family, friends, travel, and music are her passions!  And, last but not least, Disneyland… 

Rosa Escobedo, Health Services Administrative Specialist

Rosa was born in Yuma, AZ and raised in Calexico, CA.  She attended Imperial Valley College and graduated from American Computer Institute in 1990.  She worked in Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables from 1990-1999 and for Imperial County Behavioral Health Services from 1999-2005.   She worked for Approved Credit, Inc. and Mosaic Medical Clinic in Bend, and was hired at Deschutes County Services in 2007. In July of 2014, Rosa was given the opportunity by DCHS to take the Spanish Health Care Interpreter Training Class at COCC, in which she received her Medical Interpreter Certification in June of 2015.  She continues her education as an interpreter by volunteering at Volunteers in Medicine.

Growing up bilingual, and in an international regional border city to Mexico populated mostly with Hispanics, Rosa likes to think that her passion for interpreting for our clients and staff comes naturally.  Rosa moved to Central Oregon in 2005 seeking a better place to finish raising her then 15 year old daughter and 13 year old son and now has two beautiful granddaughters. Rosa enjoys walking, jogging, biking, hiking, camping and snowshoeing. Rosa works in the Bend clinic.
