Social Services

The health of the community, its children and its families is of vital importance to Deschutes County. Social Services are offered by many agencies to meet the needs of adults and seniors, children and youth, teens, families, women and girls, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and for many other individuals.

Several departments within Deschutes County directly administer services. The Commission on Children & Families (also known as CCF) works closely with local agencies, coalitions, businesses and individual citizens to improve the health and livability of our regional and County communities. The Deschutes County Health Department provides health assurance and disease prevention services and offers services that improve resident access to health care by providing information and referral, case management, and home visits by public health nurses. The Deschutes County Mental Health Department is responsible for providing a variety of services to residents who have mental health problems, alcohol or drug dependency, or developmental disabilities.
