How do I find out what zones my property falls within?

There are two easy ways to find what zones your property falls within:

Look up your property using the Local Area Virtual Atlas (LAVA5)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Click on the "I Agree" button in the upper right of the login screen.

Type in the taxlot number or address of the property you are interested in and click the "Search" button.

You will see the results of your query at the bottom of your screen. Select the "Zoom to feature" icon to visually verify that you have selected the correct property.

Click on the "DIAL Report" icon. This will take you into the DIAL - Assessor's Inquiry System form.

Use the default information. The Tax Information and Assessor Information checkboxes should be checked on. Click on the "Submit" button.

This will open a report describing your property. Look for "CDD Zone:". This is where you will find a list of zones that apply to your property. The example below lists 3 zones under CDD zone; LM, AS and MUA10.

EXAMPLE:

Asmt Zone: LM CDD Zone:LM (LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT COMBINING ZONE)
" :AS (AIRPORT SAFETY COMBINING ZONE)
" :MUA10 (MULTIPLE USE AGRICULTURAL 10 ACRE MIN)

Call the nearest Community Development office and request that a Permit Technician look up the information in our computer system. You will need to know the parcel number, address, or property owner name in order to receive a quick response.
