Children Need Regular Checkups
Kids Care Clinic
Deschutes County Health Department offers checkups for children birth to 18 years of age. Weekly clinics are held in Bend and Redmond with monthly clinics in La Pine. Clinic times and eligibility can be obtained by calling 322-7400
Your child will receive;
- Complete physical exams
- Developmental Testing
- Needed lab tests (urine, blood, etc)
- Immunizations (shots)
- Sports physical exams
- Special screenings as needed;
+ Lead screening and testing
+ Developmental screening
+ Hearing screens
These services are provided by Nurse Practitioners specializing in children and families
FAN Wellness Clinic
The Health Department also provides these clinics in partnership with the Bend-La Pine and Redmond school districts. Scheduling is done through local FAN sites within schools. Sick visits for common childhood illnesses like earaches and sore throats are available
 Visit fees are determined according to household size and income.

- No one is turned away if unable to pay
