The Deschutes Public Library's bookmobile, nicknamed the Book Buggy, travels Deschutes County and provides library materials and programs to children, young adults, parents, and child care providers who are unable to visit a Deschutes Public Library branch. Materials for the bookmobile are for youth ages birth through young adult. Also included, are parenting materials and materials geared for child care providers. Materials include fiction and non-fiction books, CD’s, audio cassettes, videos, DVDs, kits, and puppets. Bookmobile users also have access to the Deschutes Public Library's collection on board the bookmobile.
The HomeWord Bound program provides access to Deschutes Public Library's materials for homebound Deschutes County residents. This free service is available for Deschutes county residents who are homebound due to short or long term disabilities or illness. For more information on this program call 312-1035.
