Knott Landfill

The Knott Landfill is open 7 days per week year round (excluding holidays).Hours of operation are 7:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

 

Knott Landfill fees are as follows:

Household Garbage & Construction Debris:
0-400 lbs.	$20.00*
Each additional 80 lbs.	$2.00
Asbestos 0-2000 lbs.	$100.00
Each additional lb.	$.05
Contaminated Soil (per pound)	$.0175
Appliances, stumps, yard debris, tires, propane tanks, and lawn mowers are recycled for a fee.  Call Deschutes Recycling at 388-1910.

  *A $10 rebate is given for loads properly secured according to County Ordinance 13.36.040.

 

 

Transfer Stations

Deschutes County Transfer Stations

Negus Transfer Station in Redmond is now open 7 days a week (excluding holidays) from 8:00 A.M. - 4 P.M.

The Northwest and Southwest Transfer Stations operate from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday year round (excluding holidays). The Alfalfa Transfer Station is open 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. Saturdays only.

 

Transfer Stations Fees are as follows:

Household Garbage:
Minimum load   (0-1 cubic yard)	$20.00*
each additional cubic yard	$7.00
Loose yard debris per cubic yard	$3.00
Stumps per cubic yard (all Transfer Stations except Alfalfa)	same as garbage
Appliances (each)	$8.00
Tires up to 16 1/2" ea.	$5.00
Tires 16 3/4" to 24 1/2" ea.	$10.00
Additional charge per tire on rim	$3.00
(no equipment tires)
