School-Based Health Center
The La Pine School Based Health Center (SBHC) provides affordable, convenient health care and health education to children and youth in the La Pine school system. The SBHC seeks to support and achieve improved health management for students and their families, thereby decreasing the barriers of poor health to school success.
By providing routine and basic health care to the La Pine student community, the SBHC can relieve families of the hardships associated with traveling 60 miles or more to the next-nearest health care option, often at the expense of work and school time. In addition, the SBHC serves all eligible students regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, which means that more students can have access to care they might not otherwise receive.

These services are provided by licensed Nurse Practitioners who specialize in child and family care.
Eligibility Any child enrolled in the La Pine school system is welcome to receive care at the SBHC. This includes Head Start and grades K-12, as well as home-schooled and home-tutored students. All eligible students must complete a registration form, along with necessary consent forms, prior to being seen at the clinic.
We will bill insurance when provided, and care services can be billed based on a sliding scale. Immunizations are charged on a flat scale. No child will be denied service due to inability to pay.
Location and Hours The School-Based Health Center is located inside the La Pine Community Campus at 51605 Coach Rd., right next to La Pine High School. Clinics are currently held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when school is in session (hours vary).
Appointments are often scheduled ahead of time, but walk-in visits are also welcome.
