South County Local Wetland Inventory

Deschutes County is about to conduct a Local Wetlands Inventory (LWI) for the La Pine sub-basin. A public information workshop is scheduled in South Deschutes County to explain the purpose of the LWI, its benefits to the community and property owners, and answer questions and concerns. The workshop will take place in Sunriver on Tuesday, March 16, at Three Rivers Elementary School Cafeteria from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Deschutes County Community Development Department, Oregon Department of State Lands and the wetland consultant, ESA Adolfson are hosting the event. This project is funded by grants from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and the Deschutes River Mitigation and Enhancement Program.
Property owner mailings will be mailed during the week of February 8.
