Licensed Businesses
Deschutes County has over 600 restaurants and other food preparation facilities that all require a bi-annual inspection. Another portion of the job is the bi-annual inspection of the over 200 public pools and spas in the county.

The Sanitarians' main job is to minimize or eliminate potentially harmful situations in public environments and to contain and stop the spread of diseases if and when they appear. Through education and random testing, we hope to make Deschutes County a safe and healthy environment for residents and guests to enjoy.
