Healthy Beginnings

This prevention-focused program helps to ensure that children meet age-appropriate developmental standards upon entering kindergarten and increase parents’ ability to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment by bringing accessible, educational, preventative screenings to children ages birth through five and their parents countywide.

All tax deductible donations will be used to provide direct services for the children and families served. A gift of $500 will sponsor an entire family allowing the children and parents to participate in the assessments offered for vision, hearing, dental, safety, behavior, nutrition, health, early childhood development, and literacy.

 

Ready*Set*Go

Deschutes County Healthy Families Ready*Set*Go program is a voluntary home visiting program that promotes and supports positive parenting and healthy growth and development to parents and their newborn children. Through the program, parents learn positive parenting practices, what to expect as their bab grows and develops, and how to create a warm, nurturing family home.

We are a 501(3)c non-profit, so donations are tax-deductible.)

 

Together for Children

Mission is to enhance the lives of children by strengthening families through parent education, parent child interaction and community support.  This happens by providing parent education on child development, communications, discipline and parenting strategies as well as creating formal and informal support systems and ensuring networking of community agencies and public schools. This education promotes readiness to learn and child abuse prevention.
