Central Oregon Partnerships for Youth
A program of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office
Children of incarcerated parents face many challenges and barriers to sucess. By spending time with a child, volunteer Mentors provide stability and support during a dramatic time of change. Mentors are required to be 21 years of age or older, complete a volunteer training/orientation class, and background check.

Central Oregon Mediation, Inc.
A Community Dispute Resolution Program which arranges mediation for consenting parties to resolve conflicts such as neighbor and workplace relationships, consumer/business disputes, family conflicts, money issues, landlord/tenant issues including manufactured home parks, and land use disputes. COM, Inc. conducts certification training for mediators and continuing education. Staff and volunteers present workshops on mediation, communication and can provide meeting facilitation.

Approximately 65% of the providers offering care are low-income. Many have financial difficulty when starting up their business. A gift of $100 could send 10 childcare providers to training. Donations of equipment would help more providers offer quality infant care, which is a great need in our area.
Consumer Credit Counseling of Central Oregon
Offers confidential financial counseling for personal budgeting, debt solving plans, credit issues and credit report interpretation. Offers consumer education classes to the public through Personal Finance Learning Center.
