CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)

It is the mission of the Deschutes County CASA program to ensure that abused and neglected children have a powerful voice in court, by providing trained citizen volunteers to be advocates for their best interests in the Juvenile Justice System.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the CASA program.  Recruiting, training and mentoring these volunteers is the key to a successful program.  Donations help defray the costs of these activities, and additional volunteers are always needed!

KIDS Center

Dedicated to the evaluation treatment and prevention of child abuse. KIDS Center provides comprehensive services to child abuse victims including medical, therapy, and parent training services.

A tax-deductible gift of $100 would provide one hour of therapy for one child. A tax-deductible gift of $1,350 would provide a medical evaluation for one child.

 

MountainStar Family Relief Nursery

A comprehensive, family-empowered child abuse prevention program with services that include: therapeutic preschool, parent education and training, counseling, home visits and special education assessments for children ages 0-3.  We aim to prevent child abuse and neglect by strengthening and supporting families under stress.
