Testimonials

Here is some awesome feedback from youth who have participated in the Youth Conference in the past:

"I went to the Conference twice when I was in middle school and I loved it! The keynote speakers were ALWAYS so inspirational and fun to listen to.  I enjoyed attending the conference with friends and bringing back ideas to help better my school.  I learned a lot of interesting things and met cool new people!"

~Ashley Wildman, Bend High School, Senior 2008

“When I was in middle school I was unaware of what was going on outside my small circle of friends and safe home town. My experience at the 2005 youth conference opened my eyes to what life is like for other people. The conference allowed me to meet new people in my state, become knowledgeable and aware of substances and pressures that I would face down the road, and even led me to volunteer in my community. Besides all this, I had a wonderful time!”

~Piper Nash, Summit High School, Senior 2008

Ashley and Piper are now serving on the INSPIRE Youth Conference planning team.  They continue to make a difference in their community by getting involved in activities that promote healthy lifestyles.  If you are of high school age, or an adult in Deschutes County who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of middle school youth, you can apply to serve on the INSPIRE Youth Conference Planning team as well.
