Roles and Accomplishments
Examples of help provided by PAC members:
- The 2001-2010 Community Plan – a) Endorsement of the Plan, b) Development of Community (Service) System Priorities, intended to improve local systems and increase our capacity to help people and c) leadership from PAC members, working with local coalitions, to develop and implement sections of the Community Plan.
- Community Values – Endorsement of the community values as drafted by the Central Oregon Health Council (included in the Community Plan).
- Executive Committee – Representatives meet routinely with this Commission group to address issues and plan for upcoming initiatives and activities.
- Ex-officio Membership on Commission – (new in 2003) – Commitment of the support and regular participation of two members with the PAC Board.
- Annual, Joint Planning Sessions - Work sessions to coordinate the work of the Commission and the PAC.
- Site Visits of Funded Programs – Asked to participate in annual reviews of programs funded through the Commission on Children & Families.
- Co-Sponsor Forums and Events – Joint effort with the Commission and other partners to promote, support and assist with community-wide events.
- Roundtable - Provide a forum for agency executives to share information among agencies on needs, trends, critical issues and resource development opportunities.
