House Bill 3737(1997) – Creates the Community Youth Investment Program

1. Funds the pilot Community Youth Investment Program through 2003.
2. Required CCF to develop implementation plan (1997)
3. Maximize community resources for a continuum of preventative and remedial services
4. Invest excess funds in community based programs designed to reduce juvenile crime.

Note: 2^nd statute in 2001 extends sunset on the pilot project till 2005.
