Public Auction - Tax Foreclosed Property

Public Auctions

Deschutes County forecloses for nonpayment of property taxes. We do not conduct sales for banks or trustees who foreclose for not paying mortgages. You need to check with the bank or their representative for information on the sales held on the courthouse steps. Also, check the Sheriff's Office site for auctions they conduct for some judicial foreclosures.

Deschutes County records a Tax Deed once a year, usually in the 4th quarter of the year. Those are the properties that the County may sell at public auction. The County has one sale per year.
