Meningococcal Disease Outbreak in Crook County

Crook County is experiencing an outbreak of meningococcal infection (Meningitis) based on three cases during the last three months. The outbreak does NOT apply to Deschutes County, except for residents who work or attend school or day care in greater Prineville. Meningococcal is a serious disease but is not highly contagious.
