Deschutes County Oregon -- 6/9/2011 --

After nearly a year of planning, Deschutes County unveiled a new website today. Using the same web site address as before, the site is much easier to use with service-oriented navigation, more information and resources, and a fresh new layout.

The new website, designed and created by the County’s Information Technology Department, features a dynamic home page where users can find information faster and easier. The entire site is designed with the user in mind, rich with links that connect people to direct services and resources they have requested in the past.

www.deschutes.org  features a new public events calendar, social media interaction options, and the most current information from County departments such as Health Services, Road, Sheriff’s Office, Fair and Expo Center, District Attorney’s Office, Solid Waste, Personnel, Board of County Commissioners, Community Justice and many others. Land information tools, records research, County news and events, elections and voting, recycling and collection, tax maps and other programs and services are highlighted and easy to find from the home page.
