Volunteers Needed to Serve on Safety Coordinating Council

Letters of interest due by 5:00 p.m. on July 1, 2011

Deschutes County Oregon -- 5/31/2011 --

The Board of County Commissioners seeks two volunteers to serve a two-year term on the Deschutes County Public Safety Coordinating Council (PSCC).

The Council's duties include making recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on the use of State grant funds to serve the local adult and juvenile offender populations and to coordinate criminal justice and juvenile justice policy among Deschutes County criminal justice agencies. PSCC meets once a month.

Interested persons should submit a letter of interest by 5:00 p.m. on July 1, 2011 to:

Letters of interest may also be emailed to cjsrvcs@deschutes.org.  Letters should include name, address, contact information, occupation, and length of Deschutes County residency. Letters of interest are to also include an explanation (one page or less) as to why the applicant would like to serve PSCC.
