Crisis Intervention Team Training: What our local community is doing to educate itself in order to appropriately standardize response to persons in crisis

Local residents are invited to attend an educational meeting of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on Tuesday, September 20 at 7pm at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. Consult the information desk for specific room location. Learn about and support the local Crisis Intervention Team (CIT).

The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is a community partnership responding to individuals in behavioral health crisis to divert them from the criminal justice system. CIT is an international, evidence-based program that has been adopted in hundreds of communities. This partnership includes law enforcement agencies, local mental health services, advocacy groups, justice system, consumers and family members. NAMI is a sponsor of CIT and a member of the CIT Task Force.
