Deschutes County Oregon -- 6/6/2011 --
The Deschutes County Community Development Department (CDD) has drafted its proposed work plan for fiscal year 2011-2012. The plan outlines anticipated projects and goals in each of CDD’s four divisions and is available now for public review.
Given reduced staffing and resources in recent years, the work plan serves as a critical document to outline and prioritize the desired projects and services of CDD.
The plan is available for review on the Community Development Department web site at www.deschutes.org/cdd . It has been presented for preliminary review and comment to various customer groups including the Deschutes County Planning Commission and the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners.
A public hearing for discussion and Board consideration of approval will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Barnes/Sawyer rooms at the Deschutes County Services Center located at 1300 NW Wall Street in Bend.
The public is encouraged to attend the hearing to provide input. Feedback about the proposed plan may also be submitted by sending comments to Community Development Department Director Tom Anderson at toma@co.deschutes.or.us.
The Community Development Department mission is to facilitate orderly growth and development in the Deschutes County community through coordinated programs of Land Use Planning, Environmental Soils, Building Safety, Code Enforcement, education, and service to the public.
