The SPOT for Birth Control Choices in Central Oregon offers free or low cost birth control (for women and men), annual exams for women, STI/STD testing, outreach and education to promote sexual health and well being in Deschutes County. Services are by law, confidential to all persons. Services are offered to everyone regardless of income or insurance status. If you are concerned with potential costs, call us and we can tell you if you qualify for free birth control services. Remember, we never refuse services if you cannot pay.

The following services are available from nurses, nurse practitioners and a doctor at our Central Oregon (Bend, Redmond and

Birth control counseling and instructions (walk out with an entire year's worth of the method of your choice!)
Annual exams, pelvic exams and pap smears
Emergency contraception / Plan B (the "Morning-After" pill)
Pregnancy tests and pregnancy counseling
Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases/infections (STDs/STIs)

No Need For An Exam, Get Birth Control Right Away!
The SPOT locations in Bend, Redmond and La Pine offer delayed exams. These allow women to start a birth control method the day they walk into the clinic and without having an initial exam. At the clinic the nurse will carefully screen the client, provide counseling about birth control options, inform about the correct use of the chosen method, and will provide tips for being safer and healthier.
