Deschutes County utilizes the power of Geographic Information Systems software to conduct a wide variety of spatial analysis and mapping activities. We provide custom Geographic Information Systems services to other public agencies, area businesses, and residents. Custom services include:
Custom Mapping: Custom maps can be created to your specifications. Maps can display spatial data such as taxlots, land use, property ownership, site addresses, zoning, urban growth boundaries, city limits, service district boundaries, topography, aerial photography, and many other themes. Reports can also be created on a wide variety of data and geographic areas.
Spatial Analysis & Reporting: Using the power and features of Geographic Information System (GIS) software, a variety of spatial overlay and proximity analysis can be conducted. For example, find out the number of households within a 1-mile radius of a specific location or identify the number of commercially zoned acres inside a particular area.
Standard & Custom Data: Custom digital data sets can be created and purchased for the customer's use on their own Geographic Information Systems, Computer Aided Drafting, or database systems. Digital geographic data can be provided in personal or file based geodatabase format or shapefile format. Excel spreadsheets, dBase file format, and comma-delimited text files are all options.
