Deschutes County is pleased to announce Resource Connection, an improved information and referral system for agencies to help at-risk youth, ages 10-14. Based on a recent assessment of juvenile crime prevention needs in our community, Resource Connection identifies and connects at-risk youth with local resources. Eligible youth demonstrate at least two of the behavioral risks listed below:
- Criminal / antisocial behavior
- Family functioning
- School attendance or performance
- Substance abuse
- Peer associations, and / or
- Attitudes favoring criminal behavior
Referrals are accepted from schools, families, law enforcement and other agencies. Complete the referral form shown below and send it to Resource Connection (see form for details). Limited funding is available to assist eligible youth access local resources when personal finances are insufficient.
Resource Connection is funded by a Juvenile Crime Prevention grant from the Children & Families Commission.
