Clerk's Office

The County Clerk is the official keeper of all public records for the County. The Clerk's Office is responsible for processing all real property transactions, plats, Commissioners' Journal documents and Board of Property Tax Appeal petitions for Deschutes County. In addition, the Clerk's office oversees the Archive/Records Center.

The County Clerk is also the chief election official of the County. The office plans, coordinates and conducts all elections in Deschutes County. It ensures that elections are conducted according to statute and other related requirements.

The Clerk's Office also issues marriage and antique dealers licenses and accepts passport applications.
